I've just heard that Kodak are going to stop manufacture the old favorites Plus-X and Tri-X!!!!!!!

Isn't that a real nightmare!

We should all email Kodak and complain!

I highly doubt kodak would discontinue these ubiquitous b&w films. They have been staples of amateur and pros alike for years.

I heard it from one of our importers of Kodak films here in Sweden. They said that kodak is going to make it more and more difficult to get these films and eventually discontinue them. I guess they just want us to but their T-Max films and slowly move into digital photography. I surely hope that the rumor is false. kodak was a pioneer in photography and I must say I was surprised to hear this about the classic films Plus-X and Tri-X. :-(

If they do - bye bye kodak and Hello Agfa!

Don't forget about Ilford's films. Pan-F Plus, FP-4 Plus and HP-5 Plus are wonderful films. From what I've read, the only real advantage of Tri-X over HP-5 Plus is its pushability; it may be superior to Tri-X at ISO 400.

I think it would be very strange if Kodak dropped their number one best selling B&W film, namely Tri-X.
