As for your comment - perhaps the "value" placed on others can be put into perspective by the fee quoted for Nobby. Unreal - eh? I agrre with you on YBR's conjuring skills. He's a wily old bugger and probably has on eof th greatest networks of contacts and scouts around the world. I honestly believe there is as much talent around the world yet to be discovered as there in in Europe. I comented on Communicata a while back that the African nations would be the ones to watch. Names like Hadji, Chippo, Kanu, Weah (OK, a bit long in the tooth!) and King Canute come to mind. But behind those "discoveries" lie a whole load of undiscovered talent. YBR will snill 'em oot.

With the kind of money being talked about, you can see Ketsbaia and Maric being given frees just to make way for Recoba, Bassedas and AN Other S American (any Robledos out there?) as for non-EC players they aren't exactly good enough to fill 2 of the 3 slots.
