Monitor Adjustment Software?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Does anyone know of a software product that can bring the monitor and the printer into closer compliance without resetting printer parameters every time I print? I'd prefer not buying an editing package because I use three and sometimes four, depending on what function is wanted. Some do better on one thing, some on another.

With my monitor set all the way bright, my print is still lighter and less contrasty. If I set monitor contrast down, I loose density all over. If I readjust my printer, every time I turn it off or after a default number of minutes of non-use, it resets itself.

Any thoughts?

Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 has a feature that allows you to print thumbnail size images on a single sheet of paper, hold it up to the screen and then select, by number, the image most closely matching your monitor. It them remembers for all future prints.

Paul,

A number of choices are available to you. Checkout info at http://www.praxisoft.com and look for WiziWYG. Also try http://www.monacosys.com and look at EZcolor 1.5 Lastly have a look at ProveIT, http://www.inkjetmall.com
