Welcome back boyo. Sorry to hear aboot the Derby tix. Gud luck. Might CU there if I can get any. To be honest (as Dougal would say) I think you;ll be lucky to et bairns' tix at this late stage.

As for happenings on the BBS, Gav proposed to Galaxy but Yelli objected, Jonno, Softie and Clarky agreed on something and Rik admitted he's an alien from Mars. Apart from that, nowt's happened. Oh - I forgot. Clarky went to the US of A for a Joliday and Ciara resigned from her job.

Good evning ITK, I have been very quiet all week and only started posting again yesterday.

I will be glad to get back to work on Tuesday for a rest ;o)

I might even see you at Derby.

I am after a ticket for the Gunners game, its my birthday and this is a treat to myself

Hello ITK! Well, I`m afraid you don`t get that sort of information for nothing - you haven`t told us a thing about your weekend in Whitley! And I for one, am dying to know how it went! (:o)

By the way, did you have anything to do with MOTD last night? Pete and I just fell about laughing listening to the commentary on our match (short and sweet as it was)! Is Auntie regressing, or was it really Harry Enfield?! (:o)

Also, I have been playing with my new scanner, and have attempted to send you something - apologies if I`ve done it wrong, and it takes three hours to come through! (:o)

Screach

Where were you yesterday ?

ITK might want to know - & do we get a report.

Josh

Oh well, back to the drawingboard - the picture I was trying to send you was bounced straight back to me. God I am such a plum when it comes to this sort of thing! Could have put a stamp on it and sent it quicker than it`s taking me to sort this out. (:o(

Josh, Report posted already on the Duty calls thread.

Galaxy, If it took 3 hrs to scan something, yo must have ended up with a humungous file size (.BMP??). You should convert it to something like a .JPG format which is a lot smaller. Size matters and it's not always biggest that's best!

Thanks for the advice Screacher - I fibbed, it didn`t really take three hours to send - though it did take a couple of minutes. I thought that I had converted it into those funny jpeg whatsits - but who knows what I`ve done. I don`t know! (:o)

Still, I`m happy in my own way - plodding along - I sometimes think that I should stick to pruning the roses! Unlike my hubbie, I don`t stress out over this new technology, I know I`ll get to grips with everything eventually.

Also, I do try to keep a kind of balance between the virtual world of computers and more earthly pleasures. Yesterday morning I pop nextdoor to see my neighbours new arrival. Twenty minutes of heaven! Leaning over the stable door gazing in awe at an exquiste new born foal - just hours old. The kind of pleasure that costs you nothing - but is worth it`s weight in gold.

Hark at me, waxing all poetic! This by the way, is the celebrity foal I mentioned a while ago - the son of the horse that Mel Gibson rode in Braveheart. We don`t have just any old nags round here you know! (:o)

Galaxy

You really don't want to know how the week in Whitley Bay went.....it might just about sum it up to say the first 20 minutes of the Leeds game was probably better then the best of the weeks highlights.

Six inches of mud, four power cuts in seven days and two days of pi**ing rain.................need I say more!

The complaint letter is already with their head office in Hampshire, it lists 24 different complaints against the camp, the power cuts and their staff.......watch out for the latest updates on Watchdog!

Hmm?! So not the most successful of holliers! Sounds as though you had a pretty miserable time (apart from the footie side of things!) Was it your idea to go to Whitley Bay, or did the whole family want to go? I hope it`s the latter, otherwise I should think you are well and truly in the dog house! (:o)
