Title: Power Outage Hits Docklands Stadium

April 29, 2000

Docklands Stadium encountered another problem during this afternoon's AFL match between St Kilda and Adelaide, when an electrical problem caused parts of the ground to be blacked-out.

Both club rooms were affected, as was one of the scoreboards.

Adealaide coach, Gary Ayres, says one of the umpires considered delaying the start of the game.

"David Howlett came up to me and said with the warm-up and that, and I said we were out on the ground so it's not going to affect us too much," he said.

"But there was some talk that he said to me that we may delay the start."

Dee360, Docklands is next to the Melbourne CBD. Lots of things have screwed up there already.
