Jackie's take on Cleo

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Hi! What did you all think about Jackie's reaction to Cleo? I thought she was being quite shrewd and cautious, though pleasant, while she sat watching Cleo shovel food into her mouth. Cleo was really inhaling those waffles. Well, anyways, what exactly was it about her that made Jackie feel that Cleo wasn't serious about her relationship with Benton? I mean, don't get me wrong--personally, I'm happy Jackie wasn't gushing over Cleo. Benton needs someone in his life to wake him up from that unbelievable excuse for a passionate love affair. I just didn't pick up on what sealed Jackie's first impression.

Did I miss the sun-filled street scene where they're walking along and Benton kisses Cleo's hand? It was in the previews. If I didn't miss it and they just didn't show it, I am kind of mad, it looked to be a sweet scene for them.

I was looking for that scene too. Maybe it's going to be next week, b/c the previews did say scenes from "upcoming ERs" I think...

I think it was Cleo's views on her family and how she distances herself. I also noticed that she didn't seem to care whether Reece or the other kids were there or not. And I don't know where About.com got that they were in L.A. Seemed to be Chicago to me.

Agree with you, Diane. Cleo said how she didn't want to follow in the family business, or live too close to her family b/c it can get too stifling, or something like that. I don't think Jackie liked that answer! I hope Jackie knocks some sense into his head about Cleo.

Diane, you're right, there was nothing in there saying they were in LA. IN fact, I hope they weren't, because that would clear up a lot of questions about why Reese is so far away from Benton...simply, that he ISN'T, and they were still in Chicago. If they were wrong, they were wrong about 2 things (Kerry did not help Carter out here, actually she was kind of rude to him!) I sincerely hope the rest of the spoilers are right (esp. the finale with the confrontation with Carter!)

At least they were wrong about minor things. There was a thread on here yesterday that took me directly to a website (by clicking on the site named in the thread). I can't find it so maybe it was a problem and was flamed for some reason, but it was great. It told everything that happened last night. I felt like I'd had a preview of the epi. I wish I knew where to find it next time, so whoever put it out here, please e-mail me the site. I'm thinking it was on About.com but I could be wrong. It read like a gossip report, but had six or seven points about the show that were right on target.

Yikes! I found the site I asked about above and reread it (it was at About.com). It was so on target, it was scary. Quoted Jacked saying that "Cleo wasn't serious. Said that Carter would look for Paul Sobricki's file and go see his wife (nothing about her being pregnant, but we knew that, didn't we?). It had a possible **SPOILER, SPOILER, SPOILER** for next week: the ex-wife of the guy who had the little girl with leukemia (it said this, not be) hates the guy because he has sex with his daughters.

I love Jackie, and any excuse to get her back is fine by me! I love Jackie being big bad Peter's protector. I think I would rather tangle with Romano, than Jackie, where her family is concerned.
