Name my frog

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread

Hi everybody. Not too long ago there was a thread about names for pets and how people came up with them. I got two African Dwarf Frogs last Saturday and just can't come up with orginal names. My coworker and I just know the Squishy readers, being the most creative and funny and helpful people ever, would have some good suggestions.

I don't know what gender they are, so I was trying to come up with names that could be either-or. My coworker has dubbed one of them Ziggy but I need a name for the other one. Any one have any ideas?

I always wanted to get two dwarf hamsters and name them Tater and Tot.

Either that or Shasta and Capri (after the nasty drinks my parents would buy for road trips). Those are paired-up names, but they're still kinda cute...

Stardust? Zaggy? Pat and Chris? Herm and Aphrodite? Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. If you got another one, you could name them Bud, Wise, and Err...

"Thing One and Thing Two, Thing Two and Thing One, they can do anything anything anything under the sun!"
We've called people that before, but, ya know, never to their faces...

i had, i swear, 15 hamsters (not all at once) named "henrietta."

there was one named "mr. bill," one was "asia" and one was "pineapple."

a bunny named "lollypop."

my vote, if the above doesn't inspire you, are for "mr. pink" and "killer."

Great names! I was right about the Squishy readers! Keep 'em coming!

Would have been better prior to the advent of the Dubba-ya-bee, but whatever. "Michigan" and "J[ay]".

"Oui" and "Non" "Here" and "There" (if there's ever a third, s/he's "Everywhere") "Frog" and "Toad" "Ziggy" and "Ronno" (for Mick Ronson) "Frederick" and "Ferdinand" "Alpha" and "Beta" "Titfer" and "Tat" "Fear" and "Loathing"

:)

Oscar! Oscar is the name for everything. What did John name his froggie in Ally Mcbeal?

What happened to Mel A.?

As for frog names, what about Lenny and Squiggy?

I think we have a winner! Thanks to all of you for your great suggestions. I really liked Lenny and Squiggy, Pat and Chris, and Killer. My friend and I kicked a lot of these names around. At lunch we were talking about it and we came up with Niles and Frasier. Niles is smaller, pale and skinnier. Frasier is a little bigger, chubbier and darker. I think that is what I am going to go with.

I love the Squishy readers!

My company's mascot is a frog named Lloyd

He's got his own webcam, but if I linked it then you'd all know where I work....on the other hand it's the same place that has Doggie Fridays and no dress code and beer in the fridge for drinking after 5:00 and we're all a bunch of freaks so actually squishy-ites would fit right in....

Har! Anyway, that's the frog's name: Lloyd.

Oh, c'mon. Everyone knows you have to name a frog "Jeremiah." Jeremiah is the name for all frogs. It also gives you a frog song to sing, when you're in the mood to sing frog songs. I would've also voted for "Itty Bitty" and "Fred" if you hadn't already named the little suckers.

Lyle and Eric.

I always found Moon Unit and Dwezel to be... amusing. They would suit frogs better than people, too. Hehe.

If I had a frog, I'd name it "Prince Charming"... just in case...
