macro photography with olympus 2500L

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I recently purchased an olympus 2500l for closeup clinical photography in a dental office. If we are to close to the subject the lens barrel blocks the light. If we use the telephoto we can only use the macro and not the s-macro so we can't get close enough to the subject. Any suggestions on how to improve the camera to get the results we need.

The answer to your problem is simple - you a light you can control. The problem isn't with the camera. Try using a piece of cardboard wrapped with tinfoil (or a mirror) to use as a reflector if space is an issue. This advice would prove true even if you were using a film camera.
