Villa have postponed talks with Carbone, and he may well leave on a free. Is he worth going for?

I wouldn't risk it. His attitude stinks, he thinks he's God's gift, remember when he refused to be substitute at Sheff Wed and walked out on the team? As someone said on another thread we have a happy changing room at the moment and there's no point disrupting it.

And he supposedly wants 45k/week. Maybe he should go begging to Newton Heath. Oh wait, they can't afford him either. ;-)

The feeling among Villa fans seems largely to be that they would prefer to lay out whatever it takes to keep the most exciting player they've EVER had at Villa Park than run for the likes of Cole. He wouldn't fit in at SJP.

The words barge amd pole come to mind. Hang on - that should be barge and referee.

Not worth it.
