Use of Evil in Edgar Allan Poe's writings...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

I am doing a research paper on Edgar Allan Poe. Not so much him, but his literary work. WE were told to pick a story of his. I have chosen "The Black Cat." We next were told to pick out of a list of topics. The topic that i have chosen is.... Poe and Psychology: his use of evil in the lives of his characters. I am interested in any opinion of the evil he portrays in his characters, in the "Black Cat", and would be very interested in any criticisms written on this so that i can find information to back up my paper.

definately use these stories: "The Fall Of The House Of Usher" "The Tell Tale Heart" These stories really emphasize his obsessions and fears of death.
