Hello!

Does anyone know which Spotone dyes (and what ratio in drops) is correct for Agfa MC Classic enlarging paper?

Thanks!

I don't think it's possible to give a precise color ratio, since developers and toners can provide a multitude of variations in print color. I recommend you get a little mixing palette for colors from an artist supply store and place a drop or two of each Spotone dye in one of the hollows and let them all dry. With a wet brush, take a little of each color you want to work with and mix them until you think you are close to the right color. Let these mixtures dry too. Then test them on the edge of a print. You should work with a nearly dry brush for best results. Dip the brush in water with a drop or two of PhotoFlow in it, and pick up the mixture you want. With a little practice you will get to where you know what colors to use for your prints. For small areas, the color doesn't have to be perfect--it just has to be close.

That should read "place a drop or two of each Spotone dye in separate hollows of the palette and let them dry."
