I believe a woman's place is in the home..........................................after she brings home a pay check!!!!

My wife works just four hours a week at the school our kids attend, thus she can monitor them, but she come home before they do. In this case scripture is not violated. In the past I have seen that God will bless us more if my wife is a home. But, Michael you cannot say as a hard fast rule that no wife can work ourtside the home. You nor does any preacher have that right. I do not nor can I tell a family that the wife must be at home- but I will say that if the wife does she must make sure her kids have the first priority before work. THe mental well being of the kids are more important- God will always take care of those who make a stand and a sacrifice for Him. In that case it does boil down to the family living on less... but everyone must make up his/her own mind on this.

Well, that almost touches on another question. The husband has obligations to the family too, and his role model is needed. Too many times, the husband is working 70-80 hours per week. Even if he makes it to ballgames, a simple phone call on the cell phone turns it to a situation where he is working in the stands.

So, which is better, a husband and wife both working to make ends meet but each working 40 hours or less per week, or a wife home full time and a husband working 60, 65, 70 hours plus per week?

In non-essentials...

Liberty.

Sounds profound Duane...but I wonder if the kids of moms who choose a job over them (in a 2 parent home of course) would quote the same thing. Or would that kid wrongly assume that he is supposed to be an essential to his mom?

Women love to be productive.

But the situation of becoming a worker drone for Babylon is another thing and if I could avoid having my wife (and myself) working for the Slave Masters then I would do it.

(Prov 31:10 KJV) "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."

(Prov 31:11 KJV) "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil."

(Prov 31:12 KJV) "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."

(Prov 31:13 KJV) "She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands."

(Prov 31:14 KJV) "She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar."

(Prov 31:15 KJV) "She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens."

(Prov 31:16 KJV) "She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard."

(Prov 31:17 KJV) "She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms."

(Prov 31:18 KJV) "She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night."

(Prov 31:19 KJV) "She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff."

(Prov 31:20 KJV) "She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy."

(Prov 31:21 KJV) "She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet."

(Prov 31:22 KJV) "She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple."

(Prov 31:23 KJV) "Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land."

(Prov 31:24 KJV) "She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant."

(Prov 31:25 KJV) "Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come."

(Prov 31:26 KJV) "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness."

(Prov 31:27 KJV) "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness."
