I'm looking for a simple to use AVI editor similar to iFilmEdit. Any suggestions? I've tried Premiere and VirtualDub and didn't like either.

Thanks!

I use Ulead media studio, very simple and easy to use, but a bit more powerful then ifilm edit.

Thanks for the response. I am interested in something lite and free if possible. Or some software with a generous trial period. I think the Ulead is over kill.

Thanks though.

Try out Microsoft's old Video For Windows (VidEdit) program. It works with most AVI files (I haven't got the nAVI or DivX formats to work with it, probably due to audio compression). It's basically the same thing as iFilmEdit, only for AVI files. I think you can find it on www.shareware.com or www.jumbo.com, I haven't looked at Micro$oft's site for it. You might find it on some 1997-98 PC Gamer discs, which is where I got mine. I also tried Premiere, and find that it crashes too much. VDub is a little better than M$VFW, but I think VFW will do fine for what you want to do.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll try VidEdit.
