I am so happy for Roy Keane, that he made such a telling contribution to the game. Someone please get this smile from my face.

After Le Bouef's effort last night as well, what odds do I get on the Mackem Munchkin putting through his own net at the weekend?

I lurv this bit from Sky News:

"And in the second half they were buried. The undertaker was Raul, who in two minutes put the tie beyond Alex Ferguson. The manager will now have to hand back two of the cups he (?) won last season."

LOL + :-D

Not a mention in today's Singapore papers of the Manure defeat, they're normally emblazoned all over the front page and on the back two pages.

Real (no pun intended) news; e.g. natural disasters, wars, military coups, air crashes, etc. are usually confined to the middle pages.

I've just found an article about Barca being installed as the new favourites (small print of course!).

Bud, Singapore (20.04.00), city / state in mourning.

P.S. If the Ar$e and / or Leeds go through tonight, there'll be a big run on their shirts here tomorrow - glory hunting sheep!

That's a real shame. I'm real-ly disappointed. A real disaster for our plucky English lads. They scored the best goal as well. Keane's was a beauty, stealing in at the near post and completely deceiving the keeper.

So the team that we were told was about to dominate European football and backed by the riches of Croessus has so far managed to be ahead in a European Cup final for a maximum of about 30 seconds during the last 31 years.

Really.

And there was great rejoicing in the land.

I see your literary talents haven't let you down, only somebody with very finely honed writing skills could have come up with 'Tee Hee' to sum up what we've all wished on manure for the whole of this century. That says it all - just understated enough to stay within the realms of good taste, but poetic enough to convey exactly how we all feel. Love it -)

Trouble is, I made the mistake of switching over to the beeb at half time to try to quiet the clacking coming at me from all directions from the distaff side of my family - that's poser talk for wor lass and wor dowter - so I missed the second and third goals through having to sit through the Naked Chef. Bliddy typical.

Slightly self inflicted, like, cos if I wasn't such a lazy bleeder, I could have got off me butt and gone into the kitchen or upstairs to watch the second half.

I suppose it's too much to hope that they now go the whole hog and blow the premiership as well.

Manure & the Old Gits going out means S*nd*rl*nd(bastar&s) can't get into Europe via the Prem - it's very unlikly anyway.

Didjy Snoder,
That snippet has made me think that maybe this season hasn't really been as bad for us as it looks. Eternal optimist, me. Honest.
