the purlioned letter summery:::\ the guy stole the letter from the queen and was blackmailing her. She got Augustes Dupin to investigate after the police conducted thorough investigations about the letter. Agustus Dupin went to the house and found the letter. The moral of this was that the letter was in front of the polices eyes, but they searched every hiding spot they could. Augustus Dupin went and found the letter and gave it back to the queen.

i hope this can help i haven;t read the story in a while but i do remember doing this.
