Does any 1 have info. regarding the Engine # (Steam) that ran a passenger train from R.Mount N.C. to Wilmington N.C. in approx. 1945. I believe the line would have been ACL or SAL

I'm not sure what numbers were run in 1945. In 1948 one steam engine from Rocky Mount to Wilmington was a class P5a (4-6-2) # 1543. This information came from a picture in Richard Prince's book "Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Steam Locomotives, Ships, and History"
