I want to find out aas much information on Poe's reasoning for his very macabre writings.

Symbolism was used in alot of his poems ie the raven, beauty and also with reference to the many women in his life.

Any information that could be given would be helpful, I am at the end of a paper that is due this week and would like to get another view to see if I am on the right track.
