So, talk to me about your vacations, or how you like Chicago or Seattle, or contemporary art. You know, whatever, it's no big whoop.

Okay of course I'm glad you're back! Tho six days or something of journal to read is making me feel like I'm starting all over or something.. Sheeeeesh. Know what town I really like? Pittsburg. No one ever says enough good things about Pittsburg. Seriously, it's great. They have a place where your fries are served ON your burger.. their art museum is fantastic.. the downtown is well put together.. and they have this interesting museum of world education styles, and done up all in different classrooms. there's my rant.

Well, as far as favorite cities, it's a real toss-up for me. I mean, OK, in Chicago you have all these fantastic museums, there's always something going on, there's noise, there's bustle, things are freakin' happening! All the time! And the weather is so extreme, which a lot of people hate, but I liked it. Nothing like surviving 7 months of frigid Arctic winds to emerge into a summertime of 100-degree hazy days. I loved it. Also, the El is totally great. I love the fact that it's aboveground, so you can see out the windows and look at scenery going past.

But then there's Seattle. Seattle is amazingly beautiful. It's the most beautiful city I've ever seen, hands down. There's water everywhere, and greenery, and blue skies. The weather is mild, which at first annoyed me, but now I'm getting used to it. The people are incredibly civic-minded. And friendly. The music scene is great. There's not as much greasy food around, so I'm losing weight.

I don't know, I'm sort of torn. I think that I'll settle on: Chicago is my favorite city to visit, and Seattle is my favorite to live in. Yeah, that's the ticket.
