Why does Performa 6300 start up by itself?

Hi

I have a Performa 6300 which starts up by itself after I have shut down. It can take anything from 10 minutes to an hour to do it. Someone suggested I look at eh Energy Saver settings but there is no Energy Saver control panel, nor is it located anywhere else. Does anyone have an ans

You should of told us what version you were using. Old versions don't have the same options. You prob. have auto-startup enabled. You need to disable it. Or either something in your Energy Saver Control Panel is on. It is located under the Apple Menu, in the Contro Panel. The option says Energy Saver. Also are you sure its "shut down" and not just in "sleep mode".

Are you using a remote control for a tv in the same room? My television remote starts my 6400.
