Umming and arring about whether to post this, but what the hell. Even if people just take a look. Don't know how to do fancy links, but please take a look at http://www.alps2000.btinternet.co.uk

Absolutely outstanding Peter. Most deserving cause, and I wish you and your good lady the best of your luck in both the walk and the fund-raising. You both deserve enormous credit.
I'm away from home at the moment, but I'll revisit the web-site when I get home and make some contribution to what will hopefully become a large pot of gold.
Best wishes.
BTW, you're not the Peter Miller that works for Tynebeck PDS by any chance are you?

Yep - I'll send something as long as you promise to get a piccie with a Toon shirt and snow.

A brave endeavour, and a well worthy cause Windy. I`ve signed the visitors book and look forward to the progress reports. More than happy to contribute - that`s the easy part! (:o)

It's actually my uncle who's the Peter Miller in question, although I hope to be joining him for some of the walk (it was my dad that died). Sorry if I mislead. Obviously he's also Toon through and through (in fact more so than me). I know he's trying to get NUFC involved too, to some extent.

Just moving this posting back up - didn`t want anyone to miss it!

Thanks Roz, any effort appreciated and awareness is as important as anything - especially in getting corporate sponsors. My uncle thinks he should be able to get good TV/radio coverage, and perhaps get some celebs involved - but you know Geordies, forever the optimists? Still, June to September...closed season in the footie. I'm sure Bobby Robson could do with some mountain air.;-)

Windy,

Let me know when you will be in the Italian Alps (north of Turin) and we'll drive up to visit you for the day and maybe bring you some 'dog'.

If dates/work/ summer holidays etc permit I'll also act as your postbox.

Expat,

I've got too many commitments to make the full walk. But I'll bear your offer in mind and plan accordingly - do anything for a bottle of dog, me.
