Credit where credit's due - what a brilliantly organised defeat that was on Saturday. None of this We'll-lull-the-fans-into-a-false-sense-of-security-by-playing-the-opposition-off-the-park-and-then-hoy-the-game-away-in-the-last-minute crap.

Oh no. This time, because we've suffered so much lately, they hoy the game away early enough for us poor saps to think there's time to come back and win it.

And just in case we didn't get the message straight away, they left us in no doubt by hoying it away again early enough in the second half, for us to build up hopes of an even more impressive come back.

And it worked to perfection. Love it. Roll on Leeds. -)

Pit Bill,
Good to see you're still the same miserable b***er, even under a new handle! ;-))

Was there another way to interpret Saturday's goings on, like ? That had to be deliberate, and has to be a one off, organised by my and everyone else's favourite magpie - give it up for your friend and his - F. Shepherd escrewer. -)

However...how many of youse thought that Saturday was meant to remind us of the fare we had under Messrs Dalglish and Gullit and stop us whinging about losing a few matches?

A posting after me own heart. Let's gan for it. If we keep this up, we should all be just about ready to lowp off the W**rm***h bridge come Sunday.

I'm still reading 'Manu ruined my life' coming in on the metro, and it's as good as you said. When I've finished it, would you mind if I pass it on to Steph - talking about it in the Strawberry, Saturday, and she said she wouldn't mind having a read.

If you'd prefer to have it back first, let's know and we'll sort something out. I'll be at the Leeds game but might not be able to get to the Strawberry.

"might not be able to get to the Strawberry"?

That'll be the difficulty with dragging all those chains about no doubt ;-)

The response should have been 'Aw Bill, divvent say that. We need your miserable crappy down in the dumps input in the Strawberry before the match to make us feel so miserable that even a mediocre performance looks world beating'.

Admit it, they haven't often been as bad as I mostly think they are. All this whingeing and bleating is for your own good. You don't really think I enjoy this Job's comforter role I've been lumbered with, do you ? -)

I won't try to explain that smiley, cos I made an arse of it last time. Off 'ome now.
