Did not see a 'new comments' header so this will have to do. I just read thru the new posts for the last month.
1. Seems to me to be perfectly fine to pas on info from personal play. How else will you hear about games/changes etc. that your team can take advantage of ? Your policy of pre-approving play seems to obviate most of the objections about discovering another team mate playing his (own?) money.
2. O/U is best played as a pair game with one counting for BJ and one counting an O/U count. It is better than most straight BJ because of the volatility of the game.
3. Frank B. is described by the bj person I admire most as 'sleazy' . Be careful.
good Luck

O/U

You are, of course, correct about O/U best being played by a team approach. When I first played O/U, about 1989, I taught my daughter to count the O/U, while I played the HiOpt2 at the same table. There are times when the bj wager should be raised without betting the O/U, so this approach added a little to the EV. This trip I will be alone at the casino, but as you said, volatility is high in this game, and it is still better than any other shoe game, even when playing alone. BTW, are you the Jake Smallwood who created the crush count? Why not just come on down to Freeport and we'll team up on it. Bonne chance.

Yes, I developed the Crush count and made it available as the first free O/U count. It was done before Arnold recognized the side bet as beatable. Don't tempt me :) as it happens PV I will be in san Juan the same dates you are in Freeport.

I forgot one very important thing. Would you PLEASE write down the detailed steps for the shuffle at that casino and send them to me. If it is trackable, well......:) Please mention the rules pen etc. Also how much variation there is if the dealers plug the discards.

Re: Frank B

Stanford Wong thinks very highly of Frank B. This does not mean your friend who you admire does not know something else about Frank that Wong doesn't. Thanks for your comments. It just goes to prove that being careful 100% of the time is not such a bad thing to do.
