Anatomy of a country: why Elian should not be forced to live under a repressive regime

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

The repressive country is USA, not Cuba...

DEA - persecute citizens for using substances that alter their mood or otherwise make them feel good about themselves

IRS - steal monies from the citizens by taxing every possible permutation of wealth accumulation, and then sometimes taxing it again

ATF - limit the firepower and the abilities of the citizens to revolt, and protect the revenues of the booze and cigarette industry

FBI - hunt down, blackmail and imprison enemies of state

CIA - stage covert world events to stifle political and ideological competition to make money for US corporations and power elite

NSA - spy on everyone and provide highly sensitive clandestine information to other agencies

Treasury Dept. -funnel money stolen from the American people to international bankers so that they can loan it back to the American people

Dept. of Education - filter information deemed a danger to the two party system and capitalism and generate pro-US propaganda

Congress - translate the desires of the very wealth into law, while flaunting very same law

Dept. of Energy - design new weapons of mass destruction to sustain the arms race

DoD - Organize attacks on small third world countries and keep pressure on the drug trade so as to make the proceeds more profitable for the underworld TPTB

To me it's quite obvious, the reason Elian doesn't want to go back to Cuba is that he's been promised his own drug route.

Now tell me, what more could a six-year-old want?

That's right. Toys R Us and McDonald's does not a good life make.

Citizen Kane:

If everything you say is true(hell-it might be-seems to be if you ask me), and you live here, how come you don't leave the country? Or is your militia gearing up to take the country back from the constitution breaking government?

Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose...

Richard,

THAT is truly cynical.

"If you drive a car, he'll tax the street...If you take a walk, he'll tax your feet. TAXMAN!"

Hey, Citizen cane, they aren't taxing ME as a form of transportation. Wanna go for a little ride?
