Right back to you unk..... butt out :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 15, 2000.

I don't know who you are. Or do I? In a former life maybe? Anyhow...I don't know who OTFR is either. I like this place, and I'm glad that OTFR started it.

It seems that you have a personal problem with OTFR, but yet you post snide comments about this "personal" problem on a public forum. Hence your "personal" problem becomes public, hence, I shall butt in.

YOU are the one showing a lack of class, not OTFR.

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeed@yahoo.com), April 15, 2000.

Unk.... you don't know how funny that really is... "lack of class"... LOL !!!! :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 15, 2000.

snicker

Yup :-)

Netghost:

God man will you stop with the cryptic bullshit.

Is that why you end every single one of your posts with ":-)" because your MO is part of some fucked up game you fantasize you're putting over on people ? (when you're lucky enough to get someone to listen)

You contribute nothing beyond sniping back-fence gossip, calling people slime and other such spiritually redeeming posturing. I ignore all that, but this is about the last straw. If you've got a problem with OTFR, take it private. But then that's not the point is it - the point is to flaunt it. SO BFD, start provoking OTFR and posting about his/her private life and big surprise, the thread WILL get deleted. And exactly what would that be supposed to prove? Come on, you want this to be a public deal, so let's get the agenda out on the table.

You seem to get off on keeping alluding to deep dark secrets about people that only you are privy to. Well, if you actually had some substance as a character, then I might tend to believe this. But then, if you did have character, you would not have started this whole asinine topic in the first place, would you.

You suggest you have some deeply private matters of your own which you've gone to all lengths to protect and only certain people know why. Well duh. isn't that special. Privacy is a basic right - the details matter not one whit. But you seem to have not the first clue about this - it's all right for you, but not for anyone else.

There is only one mystery here and that's what YOU get out of this, and I'm sure I really don't want to know.

-- Debbie (dbspence@usa.net), April 15, 2000.

No you don't... it's kinda sordid.... you know... sex and who broke up long term relationships just for fear and CYA... you're right. you don't want to know.....

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 15, 2000.

FLAME OFF. Well, I hope you work out your personal stuff the way you want to. I'm sure OTFR can handle whatever you dish out, but it would just be better for all if you worked this out privately.

I've never quite seen anyone so concerned with the sexual activities of anonymous posters on the internet.

Once my next-door neighbor and his wife were perfectly happy. Then she took a job in an office and met a man with whom she became enamored. She left her husband of many years and moved in with the lover. All the neighbors knew what was happening. The guy made no secret of it. He kept up the yard, the house, etc. and patiently waited for her return. Six months later or so, she moved back home with her husband and they lived happily ever after...even had several kids.

As neighbors, I would suggest that we knew them both better than we knew an anonymous poster on the internet. We held no bitterness toward either of them. Sure, the guy went through a tough time when he was alone. HE was content to continue on with the relationship with his wife, and WE honored his choice.

My cousin's wife met a guy online after 19 years of marriage with my cousin. She decided to leave my cousin and chase after this phantom. The phantom lover disappeared for a while, deleting his E-mail, and ANY trace to his whereabouts. They divorced after a year, my cousin moved on and married a lovely woman with 2 or 3 children to add to the one he had at home. They're VERY happy. His wife is communicating again with the phantom lover and happy in that communication, although she realizes now that nothing IRL will come of it.

Our very own Dr. Bill [on this forum] had a wife of many years who left him because of his Y2k fears. Bill's moved on, found another great wife, and is very happy. Bill's old wife may have decided that her next mate will be someone who sees only the BRIGHT side of life.

These things happen, and it's certainly not OUR place to carry grudges. There's a reason why these things happen, but it's up to the couples involved to learn from the experience and move on. The partner involved in the romance may realize how stupid they were and decide that it was Y2k fear, a mid-life crisis, temporary insanity, or a myriad of other things that precipitated the romance. The other partner may realize that fear, aging, temporary insanity, etc. could have been dealt with in a different way and attempt to be more understanding, attentive, loving, in the future. Even the party who may have burned the bridge has learned something that will benefit future relationships.

Can we move past this now?

In case Netghost forgot, this was the only thing OTFR had to say on this issue:

Netghost, if you really do know me, you know I'm not into posting my private life for the world to see. And if you were sincere about what you say, you wouldn't be gossiping here. You're always welcomed to write me at my yahoo email address, or my private one since you know who I am.

-- Old TB2K Forum Regular (freespeech@yahoo.com), April 14, 2000.

It's interesting that Netghost is incapable of following such simple instructions.

I'm 45, 6'1" 200 lbs. I'm the Service Manager, and IT head for a large Mobile Home Dealership on S. Oregon coast. I Restore old Porsches for fun, and of course, love to camp. I live in a resort that is walking distance of the best bottom fishing in the world. Got Elk, Deer, Quail, Grouse, and Turkey running around in my yard. Year around Greenhouse, and grav. fed water. Now I see it, I'm a bit slow sometimes. NG is himself doing what he is accusing me of, butting into a personal matter.

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeed@yahoo.com), April 15, 2000.

Yup :-)

-- (hmm@hmm.hmm), April 15, 2000.

Saying you are the IT head for a mobile home dealership is a bit like saying you are the head chef at Denny's.

-- The Tall Man (phantasm@mortuary.vog), April 15, 2000.

Or perhaps the sommelier at IHOP's.

How about head chef at MacDonalds?

Netghost,

You are just not happy unless you are fighting with someone. You thrive on conflict. If you can't see that, then perhaps you should seek some psycho-therapy. In fact, do it anyway.

For some of you people, I've noticed; This is your life. This is it. This is all it consists of. Perhaps the nearest homeless shelter could use your help. How about the humane society? Starting and maintaining a garden is rather fulfilling and relaxing, I think. Go hiking or camping. Re-tile your kitchen floor. Take karate classes, or dancing classes. Do something constructive and worthwhile. Direct your energy toward something positive.

I know, I rambled. But you get my drift.

-- cin (cinloo@aol.corn), April 15, 2000.

(major eye roll) cin, the truth is the only one whose name is seen almost as frequently as yours on these kinds of threads is...hmmm...Ladylogic! (could it be? shrugging shoulders) =)

-- (--x@....), April 15, 2000.

cin, I'm really tired of fools that keep thinking we're the same person. Can you post a link to your description that you posted at the EZBoard? Do you have your picture any where on the web? Maybe if these people saw your description, and compared it to mine, they'd finally get it through their thick heads we're not the same person.

Thanks, babe.
