It's about BATTLES!-(Life effects)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Monster Rancher 2 : One Thread
^_^ My question is pretty simple. If you don't get hit in a tourament. Do you lose less of a life span since you didn't get hit? Coz' i know that no matter what ... if you go into a tourament you'll lose life span. But my question is ... what if you don't get hit not even a scratch. Is it less of a lose.

No damage = no lifespan loss, so speedsters can live pretty long...in fact, the only time when damage really weighs on an your monster's lifespan is if you get KO'd, so perhaps Tanks could work better at this.

Tournaments reduce your lifespan by two weeks, but only by taking damage, and coming back tired or stressed, does your lifespan decrease beyond that.

You lose lifespan whether you get hit or not. This fact is clearly (debatable) stated in my experiment which lies in the thread, "how do you ppl do it..." in the "raising/training" category.

My angel participated in a 2-battle tourney and lost more than half of its life in 1-battle(yellow zone) - resulted in a 2 weeks loss of lifespan.

My angel(same one) participated in a 2-battle tourney(same one) and loss "no" life at all. - resulted in a 2 week loss of lifespan.

Conclusion: You lose lifespan whether you get hit or not(as stated above and in my experiment as well).

Are you saying that there is no need to conserve lifeforce in battle, RNA? (I hope, I hope, I hope) It doesn't reduce lifespan more to get trampled a few times?

THAT'S FANTASTIC!!! For me, this brings a whole new level of fun to the game! Just wait until you see my next monster! I don't know what it'll be, yet, but I can guarantee you that it will have fought at least 100 fights.

Well, you don't want to fight too much. Your lifespan is partly determined by how many "tourneys" you participate in, not the amount of "battles."

Although I have information from my experiment that suggests that losing life in a tourney is of the same consequence as not losing life at all, I have not tested out whether or not losing more life will result in a greater lifespan decrease. ie, my testing included a net loss of 25% life out of 2 battles for my angel. Maybe if the net loss of life from all the battles is greater than 50%, your monster will lose more lifespan. This field has not been covered yet.

Eagle Fierce: It's not really a challege ... it's not hard to be in 100 battles ... pretty simple ... it's getting KO in almost all of them ... lol!
