greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

We have windows 98 system we are using a fuji MX/1500 and we are using the Microsoft Picture it! photo suite. After downloading pictures and cropping the picture we are then saving in the JPEG image format we save it to our chosen folder when we then call up the folder the image is represented by a text icon and when pressed it comes up in a word pad as text. Where are we going wrong?

Please help Many thanks Paul

Try reinstalling the picture it software and make sure .jpg files are associated with it. OR: if you know where the picture it program is located on your harddrive, try this. Highlight the image file. Hold down your shift key and then rightclick on the file. select Open with... Make sure the box "Always use this program to open this type of file" is checked Now, either find the picture it program in the list, OR, click Other (bottom right of the box.) Find the picture it program on the harddrive and select it. click ok. It should open in Picture it. and from that point, should also be associated with it too.(along with all the other jpeg files)
