Hello Shawn,

I know all has not seemed rosy as this list has come to this point. But I have just checked back in after awhile, and was reminded that there are indeed beautiful roses showing between the (relatively few) thorns.

The most recent posts by Tom M. and Tommy Z., on the "ethical issue" post (one of the most contentious), illustrate the spirit that prevailed over the "static", during that exchange.

And the frank and thoughtful opinions that were expressed on the "gadsby.net" thread represent people honestly attempting to answer a request for helpful input.

I guess I'm just trying to emphasize that your "baby" really HAS become a site that offers stimulating thought, solid info, and meaningful peer-criticism for "people-photographers" ...and for people (photographers)!

By the last, I meant to acknowledge that there has been much to learn here beyond the "photographic". The inter-personal/communicative aspects have also served all of us well.

Well Larry, I hope it keeps going as it has in the last while. I have been so busy lately, really trying to get it all together, sorry I'm not around so much except to moderate (which rarely has to happen...). gonna take a long time. I really like the calibre of posts and posters (pat yourselves on the back...) that we've been getting. And some of the photographs are very beautiful. Let's keep it up!!!
