lds[life deficiency syndrome] - historical value -first stirrings of the dark phoenix method

I am wondering if there can be a cure for short lifespans. In my opinion, short lifespans are the biggest handicap in MR2. Is there hope? Maybe, take a look at this: Name: (Unknown)

Type: Tombstone (Joker/Golem)

Stats: LIF 600+ POW 999 INT 999 SKI 999 SPD 999 DEF 999

Age: 12 (!!) + years

It's a 6th gen monster. Azn-beast told me about this baddie.

The way I see it, if a Joker can be made to live this long, anything is possible. Let's find a cure for LDS!

Answers THAT'S GOOD! I guess that I have a new record to beat, huh?

BTW, no, i did not raise this monster. I was told by someone else about it.

I have to say that that is amazing! Having a Joker live to 12 years and to max out speed. Im just plan impressed. I'll beat it someday...

you have been fooled. some gameshark knowledge and maybe three years of traing could EASILY get those results.

It's 6th gen people. After 1st gen the monsters live longer and longer. With 12 years it really wouldn't be that hard to get the speed up there. Don't automatically think cheating everytime you see super high stats and a long lifespan. Look at RNA's Phoenix and Onimba's Metal Glory. A first gen with stats like that and a lifespan like that is a load of bull, not a 6th.

Well, I usually don't believe anything from a source that got the information from another source. How are you so sure that these stats/lifespan are without gameshark, dark phoenix? The stats seem reasonable. Like zack said, it wouldn't be too hard to get a monster with those stats if it were a 6th generation. However, that lifespan seems a little too high to be true.

Although the golem's lengthy lifespan may contribute to the tombstone's overall lifespan, I don't think it should be that high. At most, that joker would live to be 8 years with both peaches.

By the way, what happened to that phoenix that you were raising?

I'm not absoultely sure. The monster above was raised by Silver Henger (you may have noticed a link to his site in the links section of B Campbell's site). As for my phoenix, it's currently at the age of 6 yrs 6 mons with a stat total of 4471 and shows hardly any signs of slowing down. A had to start the frezzing process early because so many stats were so high that my phoenix fails a lot on the hard drills (all except pull are three stars now). Have you tried raising a monster only on the 4th week of each month? BTW, did you have trouble with battle gains with Firebane towards the end? My phoenix's INT is maxxed out now and a have the reset alot to avoid wasting valuable points. If I gained in INT now, I would waste something like 8- 15 points per battle.

-- Dark Phoenix (Arax7@aol.com), January 23, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To clarify. my Phoenix is failing in Hard drills due to drill diffculty, not old age. His gains on light drills are still quite high.

-- Dark Phoenix (Arax7@aol.com), January 23, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i know its very tim econsuming but save your game every week, so if it fails, reload and do it again. thats what i do for hard drills only, light i dont really care.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that's how you trained your phoenix. By training only on the 4th week of every month, you've made it uneccessary to ever feed your monster mint leafs or candies since that is taken care of in the feeding period. Not only that, you only have to feed your phoenix 1 nuts oil every other turn. And on the turns you don't have to feed it a nuts oil, you can feed it something else(ie, magic banana, powder). I gotta hand it to you, dark phoenix. You've found something that none of us could find. With so much added lifespan, and so many Hard drills, a 2nd gen monster could even be able to reach 5994 with little difficulty.

There's just one problem. Doesn't this take a long time to do? I was kinda wondering why it was taking you so long to raise your phoenix. I was also amazed by the fact that you had a 9 year old "dummy" monster. Let me guess, you never even fed your mocchi... right?

Nice work, Dark phoenix.
