when to retire...

I was wondering when I should retire my Mint (Pixie/Tiger)? Colt say something like, "It looks like we need to retire Mint." Should I retire it then? Also, how long after Colt says to retire Mint does an average monster die? How can I tell when it is about to die? -Deadly Pixie

Answers I advice you to save each week from now on if you wish to continue raising the mint and freeze it or retire it.I never retire my monsters I always breed them .

Once you get the retiremnet notice, it may take anywhere from two weeks, to two months for your monster to die. Also, once you get the notice, the possibility of getting a good combination with that monster is weakened.

My monster lived for three months after it said I should retire it.

save often and watch your monsters stats on drills that he is good at once a monster doesn't get but 2-3 on drills(after its peak of course) it is time to freeze.

I have a solution! This is probly the only thing that Colt is useful for. If she tells you that maybe you should retire it, it should be fine. However if she says you HAVE to retire it it means that your monster is going to die next week. So If she warns you twice freeze it and get another monster.
