Lots of specials, but no rank to unlock them!!Hi, all!! :) Haven't been here in ages, but picked up and began playing MR2 a lot more lately....
I've happened across several CD's that unlock 'special' monsters(Noteably the PSX 'William's Arcade Classics #1'), but when the system notices it, the lady informs me that the monsetr can only be released by an officially liscensed trainer....
The question, then, is this: What rank do I have to have to unlock these specials? I've got 4 monsters that have made the 'A' rank, and none of them could make it into the 'S' series.... Anyone able to help me? :)

You need to unlock the monsters in the game first.
In the Rare Monsters section of this board, go to the thread titled:
How To Get All 38 Monster Types-Corrected
There you will find all the answers to your questions...Maybe...

Also for getting your monsters past A rank, try a raising method. B Campbell just posted one in the new questions section that is a nice basic one for people who don't want to spend lot's of time and money. If you want a complicated method that requires time and money, check the Raising methods catagory for RNA's method or Dark Pheonix. They seem to have the most popular ones.

Well I've read this so far.... Both methods seem rather complex...can either of you two(Or B.Cambell, whom I know from Gran Turismo circles) email me with an extremely simplified version? I get confused rather easily.... :)
I tend to favor a certain group of monsters, like Arrow Heads, Golems, and anything with either high skill and power, or high skill and defense....
