slating.. grey wolf

what would happen if you were to slate grey worf from MR1 onto MR2 would you get a white wolf???? same goes with the other /??? monsters from MR1

Slating rare monsters varies. I transferred Ardebarren and got another ardebarren, but in Bajarl form. I transferred a Hare/??? and just got a Hare, and transferred an Ape/??? and just got an ape.
