Answers

The real concern here is the number of stupid people that might believe this bullshit. I guess we should start with you huh, Dr. Dumb?

-- Ra (tion@l.1), April 13, 2000.

Ra -

Two questions:

1. Explain the UFO phenomena.

2. Explain God.

We're waiting...

-- Humble Servant (@ .), April 13, 2000.

DR. Doom,

There are people that have closed minds, are uninformed or just don't care. Just be patient with them.

What is to happen, will happen! No turning back after the final warning.

-- FOX (ardrinc@aol.com), April 13, 2000.

Humble,

1. UFOs: This is a mental health problem.

2. God: If God is omnipotent and if He controls our lives, then God is a Sadist, considering the history of Man.

Consider the headlines about an omnipotent God:

"God Kills 14 at Columbine High School."

"God Afflicts 14-year old With Multiple Scelorisis."

"God Burns Seven in Tragic Tenament Fire."

And on and on.

Think, Humble. Do you really want to believe in God?

-- (retard@but.happy), April 13, 2000.

Doc,

Don't you have enough to worry about with the Fantastic Four?

-- Johnny Storm (Torch@FlameOn.com), April 13, 2000.

Whether or not UFOs and/or god exist does nothing to prove this person's scenario.

-- Tarzan the Ape Man (tarzan@swingingthroughthejunglewithouta.net), April 13, 2000.

Ra,

Define "believe". When we are young we think that we know everything. As we mature, hopefully we begin to fathom how much we really don't know. The universe is a complex place. I don't quite know what to think about this, except that shook me up enough when I first read it to make me take pause, and to decide to share it with others to solicit their comments and observations. Yours have been noted. I don't see a big problem however in thinking about one's past transgressions, whatever your religious views or belief systems, desiring to repent and to better next time, and "cleansing one's soul" of excess baggage. It doesn't cost anythig to do so and can be psychologically healthy even if you aren't religious. OK, so you believe that this is all baloney. Why ridicule others who might take it more seriously? You often display a great sense of humor. It would be a shame to have you consigned to the "nether realms". BTW have you ever read Bertrand Russel's essay "Why I am not a Christian". I think that you might enjoy it. At any rate, we'll eventually find out the truth about these things before too long. I personally plan to make my own peace with God, regardless of what might be in store. Reading this article just made me recall that it was high time to do it anyway.

Regarding the more "here and now" aspects of the treatise, the stuff about evil people taking control of the Vatican and planning to get rid of the current Pope (John Paul II) is a distinct possibility. There has been a lot of material surface about that in the last couple of years. I'm not a Roman Catholic, so am not well versed in how much things have changed in the last few years, but find the allegatons interesting, troubling, and possibly with some merit.

As I have said a number of times before, there's room in my world view for people like yourself. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be room in yours for people like me.

Hey, I heard god was coming, and was really pissed.

Here are a few quotes from the author of this book on Art Bell. You decide.

Kathleen - You never know if something is going to come true until it actually does. But if you were a prophet, a modern-day visionary, and you had a track record -- First of all, God [wants] people to know what He is going to do ahead of time. So, if we do know that, it was through his prophets. I think we ought to say something. I think we are at that point. I just got a message yesterday that was very clear that God is really ticked off.

Kathleen - We are, and I think we are in for a political change as well. I think that the powers that be are really coming together. We can feel things changing. We can just see the signs that something is not normal. I don't know if you've noticed -- sunlight doesn't look the same. Have you noticed? The light is different.

Kathleen - Well, it's strange whatever it is. I think that you can see, with the light changing and with time -- I don't know if you've noticed, but time seems to be speeding up.

Kathleen - There's a reason for this. Apparently, God has sped things up according to some of the prophets, and I have a calculation my book, which is really too complex to get into here, but we actually are losing time, so many minutes per month. By the end of the year we've just lost it all. So, the tasks that you thought you could do in a normal amount of time are taking you twice as long to do.

Dr. D:

Sure, I read Russell's "Why I Am Not a Christian." Who hasn't.

As I recall, Russell said: "If there is a God, He is either a grossly evil entity, or a complete idiot, given the history of Man. Rather than believe that my life is in the hands of a monster or an idiot, I prefer to believe that there is no God."

Makes sense to me.

Thanks- Dr. Doom. The truth is sometimes hard to accept. Keep up the good work!

-- Fatima@ Third secret .com (vgd38@hotmail.com), April 13, 2000.

Jim,

"Here are a few quotes from the author of this book on Art Bell. You decide."

There is a one hour video called theSeven Trumpets done by a man named Irwin Baxter. Any undecided/lukewarm to sold out beleiver in Jesus Christ would find themselves absolutely 'GLUED' to their TV screens while watching this.

The video, 'Seven Trumpets is quite a compeling view of the book of Revelation account of the Seven Trumpets. As for the non believing hard core atheists out there, don't bother. It will be a waist of your time.

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), April 13, 2000.

"It will be a waist of your time."

....shoulda been "waste".

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), April 13, 2000.

I hope LBo Grise notices that I have nothing to say on this subject.

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), April 13, 2000.

Like in the old alka-seltzer commercial "I can't believe I read the WHOLE THING".

You know, it is way too easy to pick on the mentally disturbed, as I believe this women is. HOWEVER, maybe there are physical forms, human beings on this planet, that just live in a completely different reality than ours. I cannot believe that if there were UFO's and if the anti-christ(whatever that is) were walking around in people's backyards, that only a few "enlightened" people would be privy to this.

But again, alternate realities could be taking place right next to ours, and maybe everything she said is true in her world-but I am not in her world, and I thank God for that. Throughout her interview she fails to provide a single shred of tangible evidence-everything she experienced only she can vouch for.

I really wish I could understand these folk.

-- FutureShock (gray@matter.think), April 13, 2000.

Why would she be developing screenplays and writing more books if the world is gonna end soon? Shouldn't she be calling her mom or something?

-- (Miss Ann@th.rope), April 14, 2000.

"Shouldn't she be calling her mom or something?"

Shouldn't you?

Na, no way. Your heart is to little and too cold.

-- (M. A. is @ creep. at this place), April 14, 2000.

Retard, you said,

"Humble,

1. UFOs: This is a mental health problem.

2. God: If God is omnipotent and if He controls our lives, then God is a Sadist, considering the history of Man. "

First, in general I'd agree with #1. Maybe there are UFOs, maybe not. I doubt, however, they exist solely to cruise trailer parks and insert probes up people's butts.

On #2. Your premise is incorrect. You say "and if He controls our lives, " People who believe in God GENERALLY believe in the concept of free will, or that He has set up the world to let people decide their own fate on Earth. That would make people, not God, sadists.

DD,

I've read LOTS from B.R., and the man could think. But that doesn't necessarily make him correct.

Gilda,

If not LBO, I did :-) . But feel free, that's what it's all about.

Frank

Future Shock,

To understand "these folks" you have to know that they are coming from a position of faith,it is indifferent if in anyones opinion it is right or wrong,it is their faith.

The best analogy I can cull up right now is the movie"Contact",with Jodie Foster To me"faith" was it's underlying message (and I AM NOT a movie kinda guy),the topic was approached from both a scientific and a religous stance.

Just my 2".

Someone,

Good point on God and Free Will.

Wow, that's a powerful argument in support of Ms. Keating's fearmongering vision. She must be pleased to have such intellect in her corner.

Spent last week with my mother and the rest of my family, but of course I'll call tomorrow--it's Sunday, you dork.

I don't hate everyone, you see, just idiots like you who waste perfectly good oxygen.
