Sorry I wasn't here to monitor and put a stop to things yeserday. I've had a full apology from the fake Tre and promises that it'll not happen again. There was never any intent to cause offence. As for the continuing flirting with Yelli, perhaps it's in all our interests to keep that off the board. If you wanna flirt with Yelli do it via her email address, *not* on here. Galaxy is one of our long standing BBSers and we don't want her to get uncomfortable over this.

Please, everyone bear in mind that other floks senses of humor might not always match your own. Also be aware that I can find out pretty muh everything about what gets posted on here (I can match IP addresses, spoof IDs and time-zones to get an excellent idea of who's up to no good), and can kick people off this BBS permanently.

I think the last couple of days postings have highlighted what we expect from our BBS. I come on here to discuss Newcastle United F.C. I'm not immune to general topics but when you log on and discover that nobody is talking about the game on the day of the match it's disappointing.

This new board seems to have changed in the general topics for conversation. Is this because we are safe from relegation?

I have to congratulate Duncan on the tremendous job he is doing, otherwise where else would we be...keep up the good work and lets make it easy for him.

I'd miss the yak on other topics, if this went all football. I mean, with the best will in the world, there's not a lot of variety in opinions on individual games, or even footy in general for that matter so I reckon it would be difficult to keep up the interest when there's not a lot happening.

I don't think DeBuilders comment was necessarily directed against general chit chat just his disappointment that sometimes on match days there's NO footy conversation....I've seen it happen as well and often been partly to blame for it...

I get scared sometimes and would rather talk anything other than football :)

GAv, you can't be to blame even if some of your posts aren't non-footie talk. Sometimes there just isn't anything new to say, and there's nothing worse than a stagnant forum because nobody bothers to post, feeling there's nobody out there to reply. It would be reassuring sometimes to have some info on how many people are logged in - is that a technical feasibility?

I was really looking forward to a proper end of season game against Arsenal after Sunday. Really happy that the final game at home will be the end of the season. No miserable trip to that sh*thole beginning with 'w' to dread. A real end of run party atmosphere with everyone giving it some proper welly as a last chance to enjoy it before August.

However, after the crushing disappointment of last night, I realised that even in that little fantasy I was hoping that we would be looking to get into Europe on that last day. Remember last season? The only good thing during the final league game was singing "Lesley! Lesley Ferdinand!" when he scored against Man Utd - buggers still went on to win though. Now I have a horrible feeling it will all just be a complete nothing. Nothing to play for. Arsenal beating us in second gear. Urgh! At least we'll be able to give YBR a big cheer and mean it.
