Just one month left.

Just been having a look at the awfusshal site. Only six games left, and one month exactly on Saturday till the end of our season. Oh no! what will we do for entertainment then!

In fact, that is the question, what do you all do (and keep it clean) in the off season? Anyone going/doing anywhere/anything interesting?

Also, anyone clever enough, or interested enough to do some sort of Euro 2000 competition? Personally, I`m a big fan of international football, but I know some of you can take it or leave it. (:o)

Don't worry Roz, we will still be here overv the summer, albeit having breaks for holidays etc.

Personally I will be in Portugal (Algarve) iun August, but other than that wil be in and out of the board throughout, with the Euro 2000 and obviuolsy with the latest transfer news etc.

It get quieter, but we still stay here......

I've got no plans for a holiday but I could really do with one....mind you I suppose I'm on holiday now really....I don't do any work, get to stay in a foreign country and get paid shitloads for it as well....

Wahey, I'm on me hols......Woo Hoo.....

Actually I'm thinking of having a couple of weeks in Cancun probably in July....but I've still got weekends planned in Prague and Rekjayvik before then :)

Cancun might be scrapped if the club ever pull their fingers out and sort out the American tour....I quite fancy that :))

This summer I will mostly be drinking lager in beer gardens on hot summer evenings, listening as the water flows by. Waving happily as the next house boat sails serenely past.

Conversation topics will mostly be about who Newcastle have signed and how the team will shape up. I may even play the odd game of cricket (a game where you can play and drink at the same time).

But sooner or later you will start to get that feeling as the anticipation of a new football season starts. The highs the lows, and we will have many, but you wouldn't miss it for the world.

Teaching for 10 weeks, having to deal with 12 to 18 year old kids.

Atleast it will keep me occupied to an extent so that I don't miss out on all the drama that doesn't occur in the off season.

I will be looking in daily as per usual. No plans for hols just yet although I am looking at a work trip in early May to Nottingham. Any offers of nights oot etc will be considered for 1 - 3 second before acceptance, (if this trip comes off). Other than that I start my 33rd season of playing on Sunday. So all else comes to a halt!

Well, now that I've given my 2 weeks' notice at my hell job, looking for meaningful (paying) work is near the top of the agenda. Also I'll be working at all the New England REvolution home games, and any other matches played at Foxboro during the season. Home opener is tomorrow night(the only reason I didn't extend my stay for the Leicester match). I'll also get to work the USA v Ireland match in June. Though so far my request to be Shay Given's water bearer are falling on deaf ears. hmph. There are also rumours of a women's Nike Gold Cup at some point, so will get to work those games. Should keep me occupied until the EPL starts up again. :-)

Currently in the middle of a dilemma. Either coming back to the UK in June or getting a new apartment with my girlfriend which is easier said than done because :
It costs 6 months rent to move in (ouch)
I'm white (double ouch), we're truing to get to see one which has a balcony that's double the size of my current apartment/box! Now, if we get that, then it will certainly be another year before I'm back to sunny blighty

Most of my summer will be taken up with packing in as many dog shows as possible during the `off` season, watching Euro 2000 and Superbikes, interspersed with bouts of manic weeding(as in the garden variety!) We had the garden re-vamped at the end of last year, new beds cut in and improved with topsoil and ecco compost. Well, I`m not sure where the landscapers got the stuff from, but I sure as hell have never seen so many weeds! I have watched with dismay as spring arrived and my lovely new tidy beds turned bright green with weeds of every type. I think they must be genetically modified, they`re very spectacular and resistant to most things - anyone know where I can buy some agent orange?
