wow, what luck! greenspun.com : LUSENET : Monster Rancher 2 : One Thread --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just had an amazing run of luck...took my ancient Green Suezo (Hippie Bob!) to the Kawrea expedition, and found both the fire feather AND the joker mask! The next week, I gave him cup jelly and got the 5th diamond mark necessary to unlock a Ducken, and at the end of the month he died, giving me my first Mock! So now that I have 4 new monster types available, does anyone have any suggestions which I should try raising first? Thanks!

I just got a joker and am currently raising a Durahan. I have raised about 8 phoenixes getting each to A and I have one frozen that is in A, and about to beat it. I have raised a ducken and it isn't so good,it gets alot, I mean alot of moves though (about 15 moves).

actually, this kind of sequence[not this one exactly] is common, and i and many others reported "unlocking chains" where once we started unlocking monsters in the game, the monster we unlocked unlocked another, and went on expedition, and found another, which got a doll, etc.

No, that was the first Fire Feather...I think I'm gonna explore the possibilities of Jokers.... =)

If you want to raise a Joker, good luck. Here are a few tips to remember: Your Joker MUST be bad nature at least in order to learn a new move at an errantry. You can use sweet jelly to change his nature. I think it takes 10 jellies per change. He only has 6 moves total. They generally don't have a long lifespan.

You mean Melon Suezo? Also, I've beaten the Legends Cup with a third generation Phoenix, so I'd go with that one. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG THAT QUACK DOLL HAS BEEN IN MY ITEMS?! FORTY YEARS GAME TIME AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN A DUCKEN! BEAT THAT!!!

This is off the subject ,but if you want a challenge try beating S cup with a hare/jell. It's tuff but possiable!!

A.J.-Did you know that "tuff" is actually a word? It means "cool"...

I found the mask with a Durahan that had only about 250 int. That was luck!
