AMMAN (April 12) XINHUA - A Turkish pilot was killed Wednesday after a Cobra armed helicopter of the Jordanian air force crashed in a training flight, a Jordanian military spokesman said.
The pilot, identified as Erol Ahmad Yldez from Turkey, came to the kingdom under a pilot exchange program between Jordan and Turkey, Jordan's official news agency Petra said.
His Jordanian co-pilot Saleh Abdullah Umari was injured in the crash and was rushed to a military hospital, the spokesman said, stressing that the crash was caused by a technical fault.
Further details of the accident are not known for the moment.
