Does anyone feel as ill as I feel? Headache, sore throat, cough, running nose, slight nausea, aches and pains all over and very sore feet?

I did, but not any more. A couple of hard days back at work and it all returned back to normal. You should try it!

Not as miserable as I felt last night. Though I'd still be quite happy if someone chopped my legs off at the knees. Or at least took off a few toes. ow ow ow.

I felt rotten on monday....much better but still a little worse for wear on Tuesday and today I'm OUTSTANDINGLY well ;)

In fact I gave up drinking on Monday cos I felt so rough but I'm ready to get started again now :))

Gutted that I'm not going to the match tonight.....

I share all those symptoms but also have horrendously sore lips. Got sunburned in that disgrace of a National Stadium and my kisser is peeling like I have advanced leprosy. Wouldn't mind, but it has opened great fissures along the creases so I can't eat anything spicy and bleed on my bread. Urgh! I was ugly enough already...

Softie,

Are you sure it's sunburn? From the stories around it's more likely to do with the caustic gasses eddying around the floor of Dougal's place. Or something they did with you after you'd taken that date rape drug ;-)

Windy,

Tee hee! For obvious reasons I thought you'd be keeping well out of this one.

And there was me blaming my sore ar*e on the beer...

I've been given the opportunity (ordered) to paint the bathroom ceiling tonight. Horrendous margin for daft, spontaneous superstitions to be developed during that kind of activity. Perhaps I should respectfully insist (beg) that I be relieved of this chore for my own sanity's sake.

I wouldn't be inclined to do anything requiring concentration and precision if there's any chance of Alan Green polluting the airwaves. Unless of course you want the Jackson Pollock effect on your celing (and everywhere else).

Thank God for Metro Radio. Proper commentary from people who actually like the game. I'd rather sleep than listen to Radio 5 Live...they'll only put a Green and Brooking double act on with Lawrenson as the anchor (bite it back!). Shudder.

On Grandstand last saturday i think Lawrenson had taken too much prozac , he said ..' Newcastle are a great club id love to see them win for the fans .. after my time up there i can confirm how great they are . I think with Robson behind them theyll beat Chelsea ' Very very strange .. id been smoking the night before , bu didnt think id still be hearing things in the morning ;- )

Classic case of jumping on the bandwagon. For a few years the trend has been to knock Newcastle, but it's now swung round again to us having the plucky losers with charm label. Lawrenson's just an amoeba soaking it up and regurgitating it.

Was in Sportspages a little while ago and heard the clerks talking about our game. They were speculating on what it would have been like had it been Newton Heath instead of us, and NH lost that way. How Surly Alex would have been moaning and bawling for the refs head. They spoke with great respect about how YBR was very honest in his postmatch interviews and didn't try to find excuses.
