I reckon Arsenal will overtake Leeds to get the Champ League slot. Leeds in UEFA Cup. Chelsea and Villa will get a slot each either through cup or league position.

We will get the Inter-Toto slot

I'm not sure (well I am really) but I don't think having Man U as winners adds an extra place for the Champions League. We only had 3 this year and Man U won it last

In any event, so much depends on how the players rally their spirits after Sunday... I'm gutted - Di Loonio is playing tonight. Just our f....g luck.

And Ian Feuer is coming in for Forrest. Feuer did well with the NE Revs 2 seasons ago, and while it will be nice seeing him again, I hope he's well rusty tonight! ;-)

I agree Dougall, the whole of the season rests on tonight's result. If we can win it yahoo! If not we'll stuggle to catch the Mackems.
If the players feel the way I do at the minit, God help us.

Macbeth Your spot on with the Euro cup, We'll just have to hope that Arsenal or Leeds win the UEFA cup. (then the table at the top would still work) That would give us the FA cup winners, the forth placed team and the next best placed team, which could be fifth or sixth going into the Uefa cup, the next one would be the InterToto team as you pointed out in the other thread most of the teams are in a similar position to Newcastle in the league.

Man Ure

Working on the same table as the above, how about honing it into:

Newton Heath win the Championship and go into Champions League.

Leeds/Liverpool 2nd and 3rd so qualify for Champions League as well.

Chelsea finish fourth but win this seasons Champions League as so qualify as holders. The Arse finish fifth but win this seasons EUFA Cup and qualify for next as holders.

We finish 6th and qualify for 1st automatic EUFA Cup.

Villa finish seventh but win the FA Cup and qualify for EUFA Cup.

West Ham get other automatic EUFA Cup slot by finishing 8th.

Leicester finish tenth but won the Worthless Cup so are already in EUFA Cup.

Leaving the Makems as the only team finishing in the top ten not to qualify for Europe..and they have refused to go into the Inter Two Bob.

THAT WOULD BE JUSTICE!

Hmm?! Well tonights results have certainly thrown a spanner in the works. (:(

I take that all back, put us down for seventh place with 56 points and the makems in 8th with 55 points. Gotta live in hope lads and lasses!

Very True.....but that still leaves my predictions in place, albeit in a different finishing order.

On Sunday I said to Scratchy that I would be happy with 18 points from the last seven games.....how possible is 18 points out of the last 6 games........it is still on track as well........as far as I can see, the only spanner in those works are the Arse, last game, but at least it is at SJP......

That we retain our Premiership stautus.

Sheffield Wednesday go down.

Ipswich win the 1st division playoffs and finally make it up.
