Mate I've got a problem.

Some one was impersonating me on here yesterday and last night. All some one has to do is copy your name and email adress and they can post anything they want and everyone will think it's you.

I'm not that worried with what was posted under my alias, but this open some security problems.

I really don`t have a problem with a bit of harmless flirting and innocent leg pulling, all part and parcel of a healthy BBS. Nor do I feel that I have any rights of censorship, but I truly believe that fake postings are against the spirit of this BBS, cause suspicion, bad feelings and, in my case, and for obvious reasons, a certain amount of anxiety. No need for apologies (but thank you anyway), I just don`t want things to get too silly. (:o)

The sad truth is that it probably started off as a joke but it's still not fair on Tre, Yelli or Galaxy!

I vaguely remember something like this happening on the old bbs.....

The bbs is faceless enough without making it impossible to trust postings from people....

Whoever it was/is should come clean, take their verbal slapping down like a man (or woman!), apologise to those concerned and just get on with it....

I thought it might have been Bud or Gus becuase they are usually on here when I'm on as we're in similar time zones. I didn't mind it to start with but felt it went beyond a joke after a while.
