Really excellent Rik. I was actually sitting "in the gods" almost directly behind you.

You mention the scarcity of opposition fans on Wembley way. As in all my previous visits, this has been an evolving mystery for me. In fact, I'm beginning to think there must be an underground tunnel thro' which the oppos make their way to their seats. Everytime I've been there W/Way has been 99% B&W.

It may just be because such we haven't become blase about such occasions, get their early, and like to breath it all in.

I'm ever so slightly biased, but the Geordies are bloody marvels - totally committed, great sense of fun, and well - RESILIENT!

Not sure on the Bobby Robson one? As for the piccies, 'll show you mine if you show me yours. BTW talking of pictures, has anyone had the picture sent to them called CAUGHT? It's doing the E mail rounds and features a blerk on top of a lass, doing it like they don't do it on the discovery channel. Some of their mates have burst though the door and have a good laugh at them bieng caught in the act whilst one takes the picture of them . He must have the most famous arse in the world at the moment. It's a great picture , but might just be a bit too naughty to post on my internet site. Waddya reckon?

Clarky, there is a route up to the other side of Wembley. We went that way by mistake at the last Final....never do that one again. All threats and taunts - no Elvises, no Seven Dwarfs, no singing, no cheery banter with respected members of the Metropolitan Police. WW must sap the morale of the opposition fans, though. Imagine trying to compete with us lot? More songs, more singers and less inhibitions than any other set of fans.
