This happens to ever VCD that i get... i have tried 3 different computers so I know its not the computer. When I make a VCD with Adaptec 3.5 it doesnt play in the DVD player. Here comes the weird part...... if i burn another session (like a music video) to the CD the DVD player plays both the first session and second session correctly. It cannot just play the first session you make. I have no idea whats causing this... its very mysterious.

just a guess, but maybe when you burn the vcd, it is not closing the disk, but when you burn the second session, it IS closing the disk.
