I'm trying to figure out what is the technical (for lack of a better word) color of my cat. She is a very soft (dilute?) red with very little stripping as in a tabby. She has a white bib and white feet. What color do you call that. Thanks

Well, 1st of all the cat was just given to me and I don't have papers on her. As I said she has very little striping. She is mainly a solid soft reddish orange. From the research I've done and pictures I've looked at she just doesn't look like she fits the "tabby" part of coloring.

As the cat was given to you, are you sure it is a Maine Coon--at least pure bred? Also, I don't think the "strength" of the stripping takes away from the fact that it is a tabby. But if the stripping is so faint as to be hardly noticeable, then I'd call it "red with white."
