Did anyone read new pioneers? What did you all think of it? Did it accurately portait homesteading?

I read it. It was a bit academic, more of a research project than anything else. The author did an extensive questionire and then analysed the results. I found it interesting but not terribly useful to me. If I was a sociologist I would have loved it!

Wish I knew where my copy was and I would send it to you. I'll have a look around but we haven't unpacked most of our books at our new homestead. I have more boxes of books than I care to admit in the top of my barn.
