Camera direct to Cell Phone?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

At a conference I saw a camera hooked up directly to a cell phone. This system was able to transmit photos on the move. Does anyone know what camera, cable, cell phone etc. is needed to do this? We have a team climbing Denali, and we want to send photos directly from the mountain to our website for almost realtime downloads.

Thanks.

Do an internet search for Everest 2000. They are transmitting real time video from Camp 1 on Everest. They are using satellite phone technology. You may be able to contact their support group and find out what they are using. You may need something similar as there is probably not cellular coverage at Denali
