Do they allow alcohol to be consumed en route? The normal train time from Winchester to London is 55 mins. On Sunday they are quoting 2 hours 55mins as all trains are being diverted at Woking (where to????).
Anyho... The bus seems a good deal but timings will require alcohol top-up while on board. Is this allowed? I may be forced to drive and limit my intake!

No idea eordie... I was going to ask the same question about the trains. I haven't been on one for 25 years. Are they still powered by steam and whats the crack on taking half a dozen cans with you? I don't suppose they would be able to stop you but anyone know?

I think in both cases as long as you don't make a bliddy arse of yourself you are fine. Its a few years since I was National Coaching it, but have consumed many a can en route as it were without any problem.....
and as far as trains are concerned....no problem wha so ever, as I found out to my massive headache cost on the way too and from Villa this season...
Drink Drink Drink the broon ale and make some merry.......
