Can anyone get any quester recordings to playback? If so, how? If not so, let's put this one on the banned games for playbackability issues.

I've played both JMS's recent recordings (98320 mame36 and 74060 m36rc1) without any problems. I didn't have to do anything special to run them. If you are having problems I'd suggest deleting quester.nv in the nvram directory and try again - it has been known to cause problems. Let me know if that doesn't work and we'll try some other permutations.

Still no dice, removed hi/cfg/nvram/memcard files and i get

0000 0000 0000

on mame36 using bubbles 98320 inp file. I can play the game fine. - verifyroms says ok. Sometimes i can get a strange playback out of the m36rc quester recordings where the credits go haywire... Very strange.

Here's what I did.

Start from normal - with new cfg, nvram etc. Then I typed:

mame quester -playback quester

then it played back fine.
