Where can I test out NikonView DX software that is bundled with the D1 Camera?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I am interested in purchasing a Nikon D1 digital for my business, and have done a fair amount of research into the camera. However, I have been unable to fine any information, other than the name, regarding the NikonView DX software that is bundled with it for previewing and acquiring images. As this will greatly affect our workflow, I am trying to find out where I may preview this software before I make my purchase. Any ideas? Thank you. Pierre p.s. - I am on

Many people with a D-1 including myself have never opened the NikonView software. There are many better programs to use. I use photoshop for working with images. But for viewing, printing, minor editing and opening Nikon raw format files Qimage for $30.00 works great. Below are two programs you can look at. One is free.

I have to agree. The Nikon software is crap. I use Qimage to get raw files and fix some of the banding problem, ImageN to download and name images and thumbsplus for cataloguing.
