greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

If you're an ATI owner, and tired of trying to obtain the new version of Multimedia Center (6.2) from their tech support, here is a link where you can download it:

http://www.geocities.com/djphead/ati/mmcenter.html

The links to the files are at the bottom of the page. The files themselves need to be unrared after the download.

Cheers.

Thanks! Stupid ATI...

BTW, I noticed there aren't .rar or .r01 files, but open .r01 with winrar and unrar then it worked fine.

I know it may be a little too late for this, but I've found version 6.2 if you care to download it. I know that 7.1 is out, but I've heard that this is the classic. http://www.tvfreak.cz/down/ati.shtml

Go get 'em!

The new 7.1 Multimedia center over writes all 6.2 drivers and such. BUT 7.1 has no video editor , so whatever you digitally tape thats it,you can't edit it at all. After a format of C: drive and quick install of windows,I reinstalled from a backup(with 6.2) but I am getting RESMNGR errors when closing video editor. It is unable to name or rename newly created files.

I'm going to do it from scratch with directX 8 plus the 8.0a (for Video cap cards)attachment and try to do it again.

I HATE ATI for not telling me in the upgrade I would lose my video editor. I only hope the new software did not damage the hardware somehow.

But isn't 7.1 only for Windows XP? That's what ATI's tech support says: system requirements: Windows XP. I have Windows 98. That mean if I use 7.1, my system will go screwy?
