Happy Birthday, pamie!

Just wanted to wish you a happy day from one single-digit April baby (my birthday is the 6th, but I'm just a bit older than you!) to another, and thought others might want a forum to express their wishes as well.

Here's wishing you one SPECTACULAR birthday!

Happy Birthday Pamie from another who shares your birthday week!

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

i share the same birthday week, too! must be something about aries and online journals...

have a great one, pamie! 25 isn't so bad -- i'm just finishing it up and i have to say it's been a mighty fine year.

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Hey Pam.

Don't be such a baby about 25.

This is my last year of being in my 20's.

Yeah, just you wait until it's time for a mid-life crisis.

In the meantime, enjoy the fact that you are a quarter of a century.

my grandmother is 84 years old today! i hope i live as long with people who love me as much as they do her, regardless of her kookiness.

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Damn Rich, you come across so jaded, and you're not even 30 yet?

Happy birthday, Pam
Everything's alright
I hope your life will never end

*hummmm* Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday dear Pamie Happy Birthday to yooouuuuu!!!!!

Now that I've serenaded you with my patented off-key rendition of "Happy Birthday" (no one can wreck those notes quite the way I do), I'd like to offer you some birthday cake, but I just didn't have any time to bake!

I'm in a birthday frenzy right now, with my older brother's 36th birthday yesterday, my younger sister's 32nd birthday on Thursady (same day as yours, Liz!) and *ahem* my 34th on the 25th. (Just passed my younger brother's 33rd and my baby sister's 30th.) So I'm plum out of funds for gifts. Sorry, Pamie.

But I hope it's a fantastic birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMIE!

happy birthday, pamie!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Happy Birthday Pamie! May 25 be your best year yet!

In honor of your day, I have decided to stop on the way home and pick up a cheesecake. I will eat it in celebration of the big event, and if my husband sees me and becomes alarmed, I'll just say, "It's okay, honey, this is for Pamie's birthday. Everyone knows that cake eaten in honor of someone else's birthday has no calories. Sorry I didn't leave you any."

Happy birthday Pammie! April is a great birthday month! Mines the 5th, I cant' wait, only one more day and I turn 19..and being as I'm a good ol Nova Scotian (Thats in canada, if you americans didn't know) Im going to the bars tomorrow! :) can't wait, kareokee here I come :) Anyways, hope birthday week is all you want it to be pammy. 25 doesn't sound like its all that bad :) HAve a blast. Monica

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Congratulations, Monica. So 19 is the big one up there in the Great White North? I wouldn't have argued if they wanted to make it like that here.

Mine is Sunday (the 9th), but festivities began last night. I think I've managed to stretch Birthday Week mayhem all the way to Easter this year, when I'll be indulging myself with a trip to Ohio to see my best friend from college.

It's so wild that there are all these same people celebrating this week -- Pamie, how do you keep your birthday celebration separate from your anniversary? Or is it just one giant attention-fest?

Oh, and is there an old Squishy about how you and Eric met? I'd love to know the origin of this great romance!

Pamie - I still think you should do a splash page contest for Birthday Week. The winner gets a date with Chris. How about it? ;)

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Happy Birthday Pamie! Another April baby here, I'll be 19 on the 17th :) Hope you had a loverly day.

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Wow, this is really unbelievable that so many of us have birthdays this week, not to mention this month! I even forgot to mention that my darling niece's birthday is today, also. She's nine, and gets to have her Aunt Liz and Uncle Peter over for a special dinner. So there's another one!

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Oh yeah, and happy birthday to liz, leigh ann, Megan's grandmother, Carol's whole family, Monica, weezel teetz, Omar (my secret crush), Jamie, and anyone else who posts here with a birthday!

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

25 years ago the world was blessed with a talented beautiful woman. and i am not just saying that cause i really really want a chance at chris (but if it helps *grin* what the hell!) seriously, thank you so much for the laughter you bring to my home... your antecdotes make sometimes yucky days not so bad after all. here is to the next 25 and then some! Have a wonderful birthday pamie! sabrina

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2000

Another April baby here, I'm the 13th. My parents in-law are the 12th and 19th, and my sister in-laws are today and the 15th. June/July are pretty steamy months, it seems!

Always, always, happy, happy pamie (and pamie & eric)!

Right back 'atcha ChickenGrrl... rroooowwwllll...

This is from Mightybigtv, but I thought I'd post it here anyway in honor of all of us new 25 year olds:

a poem for pamie from me:

Twenty five,
I'm twenty five,
How did I let this time arrive?
How badly have I gone astray?
At least I'm not,
Twenty five and a day.

My birthday is on March 30th. I turned 27 so I'm experiencing WAYYY more trauma than you right now. There's something about 3 to 30 that just doesn't sound that cool.

Happy Happy Birthday Pamie! Happy Happy Anniversary Pamie & Eric!

I want you to know that last year's birthday week started a new trend in my family. I gave my sister a birthday week last November(she was 19) and I gave my husband a kick-ass birthday week in February (he turned 35). Yesterday he kicked off my birthday week (Mine is the 10th and I'll be 35, but I don't mind a bit!). He gave me a scanner last night and he's painting my kitchen a yummy shade of butter yellow, and he's sending me off on a birthday weekend trip with my mother. I don't know about the rest. I'm all about surprises!

So Pamie, Happy Birthday AND thanks for the new tradition!! I always felt birthday let-down, but this year it feels really special and it was nice to give my husband such a special week too!

Another Happy Birthday wish for Pamie, and Happy Anniversary to Pamie and Eric!

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

Many happy returns! 25 *was* a hurdle, but it gets easier. :) I had a moment of panic at 29, 30 was a blip, and 31 was an excuse to have a 'tenth anniversary of my 21st b-day' party. (Not telling how long ago that was, but I can still remember it without consulting any notes, so...)

My ex said that 35 was REALLY bad for him, ditto 39, but 40 was no big deal. (Let's see how he handles being 43 this year.)

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

Happy B-day pamie!

We share the same day! Although..... this year I turned the big 3-0. THere's a breakdown in progress, film at 11.

My whole family took me out for a roast, I mean dinner... what a scary experience. Dinner Theatre Hell

Thank God I have ten years to steel myself for anotehr one. Got lots of good comedic material though. And presents, can't forget the presents....

*hugs*

Happy Birthday Pamie! Happy Anniversary (as well)?!

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

Happy Birthday Week!

My birthday is nowhere near, but this is the second time I've ever wished you a Happy Birthday Week, and I don't know when I started reading Squishy, so I declare today my first Squishy Anniversary (observed). Although I could never actually tell someone that I had a Squishy Anniversary, not without them saying "Eww! I don't want to know!" and me trying to explain the whole back story.

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

Grrrrrreat birthday wishes to our favorite Squishy grrrl. =)

As long as we have Pamie, the rest of us need not worry about turning twenty-five--yes, it's a milestone, so I don't wanna hear all you thirtysomethings making groaning noises. You were young too, once, and you know how it felt. /wink/ Just kidding. =)

So. Long live Pamela, long live the great Squishy refuge we've all come to know. May they continue to comfort us Little People into our thirties... and beyond.

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

I said (to myself) I wasn't going to post on the birthday forum again, but I have to reply to what Heith wrote:

"...I don't wanna hear all you thirtysomethings making groaning noises."

Sorry, Heith, but I have to groan! I turn 38 tomorrow, and not to discredit pamie's feelings upon turning 25, but there is nothing like knowing 40 (and annual mammograms -- ike! ike! ike!) are just around the corner!! I feel like I must be the oldest person who posts here (feel free to jump in and discredit me at any time. Anyone? Anyone?). I guess I blew it with my little Omar crush, now, though, didn't I? Oh well. There was that thing Mike wrote on the Cute Boy of the Week forum, though, about the "voracious sexual appetites" of us older women....

At least I still FEEL 28. Some days I even look it.

-- Anonymous, April 05, 2000

Mammograms, I will turn forty on the 18th of April, and I am looking forward to regular prostrate exams " oh yah thats it doc, oh yah thats the spot, oh baby use the hole fist, c'mon doc whisper in my ear, oh and bye the way you better write or call doc".

Happy birthday pamie, thanks for sharing your life and with the forums, thanks for putting the tin can in so many hands at the other end of the string.

At 25 you got lots of time to do anything you want, I am starting my midlife crisis now and all I want is women your age. >8 )

Hey :) Happy Birthday, Pamie!

I'm also an April baby- I'll be 21 on the 14th, so it's a big one! My roommate is the 10th, and my mom is the 17th. Like someone already said: June/July must be hot -n- heavy months, haha!

-- Anonymous, April 07, 2000

D'oh! We WERE having a great time! The camera caught me at a funky angle and both of us were listening to Chuy tell us this horrific story about UIL competition. And I think Rebecca was flashing back to her own UIL days and thinking of a story to tell.

Or I may have had gas. That may explain it... Painful, explosive, horrifying gas. That'll ruin any photo.

-- Anonymous, April 10, 2000

Well, that should just about take care of all those secret crushes that we had developed on Omar. Explosive gas...now, I ask you, what is sexier than that? (just kidding with ya, o.)

And by the way, how cute is Pamie? She's a doll! Now if I do end up having that lesbian dream about her (that I thought I would most definitely have and then didn't), I will feel proud because I landed a hot chick for my first gay encounter! Those are good party pics, Pamie, feel free to emblazen your site with as many photos as you want now that you have a kick-ass digital camera.

And, yeah, where was Andy? We need photos to send in with our letters for the "Get rid of Hal Sparks, Hire Andy Cobb!" campaign.

-- Anonymous, April 10, 2000

Yes, she is a doll.

And do you see how she does that cute little pink cheeked thing when she drinks? Oh what I wouldn't give to be pink cheeked after drinking. I get all white and pasty. Yuck.
