Dacourt off to Leeds

The Ronnie reckons he's on his way to Leeds for 7m. Are they expecting to lose the services of a hard-tackling midfielder in the immediate future? ;-)

Says a lot about Batty's likelihood of making it back from injury as well.

I like Lee/Speed at the mo but for next year I'd like top top class in the engine room. Another forward too,(A1 will be puffed out after the Euro thingy, Yin is well Yin). No opinion about Dacourt.

The only thing I remember about Dacourt at Everton was the amount of bookings he picked up, one a week no problem. We need a ball winner yes, but one who is going to play the majority of the matches and we can build around.

I'd still prefer to see a British Isles born player in there, but there aren't many available.

Not too disappointed to miss out on Dacourt, especially at #7 million.

Dacourt? Decent player; not worth #7mm, surely?

The depressing thought, given our feeble financial position, is that today you have to pay #7mm to get someone like Dacourt.

Neverthless, I have confidence in BR to get some talent in and strengthen the squad irrespective of how much brass he is ultimately given in the close season.
